I had a tire with a leak and Clay Dooley in Champaign got me in right away. The service was fast, affordable ($32), and straightforward. Exactly what you hope for when you have an unexpected tire issue. Especially on a Bronco with expensive tires and a lift. I also really love the old-school feel of the location. The mural explaining the company’s history is a great touch and really shows how much history this local business has in the community. The facility was very nice and clean, and everyone was friendly and helpful. It’s great to find a truly local business with that much history that still provides fast, affordable, quality service. I’ll definitely be back when I need tire service!

I cannot say enough good things about Clay Dooley. They are always nice, provide quick and quality service and, most importantly, they never overcharge or try to sell you something you don't need. They are the most honest auto service shop I have used. Highly recommend.

I have gone to Clay Dooley twice and have loved the experience both times. I just got a free oil change for my birthday which you can’t beat and they also helped me prioritize the maintenance needed on my car. They were not pushy at all and told me that nothing was emergent so I had plenty of time to think everything over. Really enjoyed meeting them! Would recommend to anyone in the Champaign-Urbana area.

OVERALL REVIEW 10/10 On May 7, 2026, I took my 2010 Toyota Camry to Clay Dooley Tire & Auto for service work. They replaced the EVAP system, the radiator, and fixed the valve cover gasket leak. Everything works great now. The price was very competitive to other mechanic shops out there. I worked closely with Kami, who is extremely helpful and nice. I like the fact that Clay Dooley Tire & Auto will text you a link to live details on what they are doing to your car and show photos with the work being performed. The link kept me up to date on the progress. This place is conveniently located on Neil Street. If you want an honest, competitively priced mechanic shop, go to Clay Dooley.

I thoroughly enjoyed my second visit to Clay Dooley. I was greeted immediately by a gentleman opening the door for me. The manager was really great and welcoming. She informed me of my next steps service wise and didn’t attempt to sell anything that I didn’t need. She was even willing to answer my random questions about her role with the business. My tire rotation was complimentary since I purchased them from here and I anppreciated not being treated less than because I wasn’t getting a paid service. Excellent service was provided and I’ll definitely be back if I stay in the area.
